CRIBB in 2022 (a year in review) - Cribb Cyber Security

Happy New Year everybody! Here we are at the start of January and whilst we’re excited about 2023, we wanted to look at CRIBB in 2022. It was an interesting and busy 12 months for the team, with new products and solutions, a new look and a return to events. Here then are some key highlights from the calendar year, including the launch of our CRIBB Cyber Security Ready (CSR) packages.

New cyber security solutions

At the start of 2022, the CRIBB team sat down to revisit our products, services and solutions. Since our inception in 2016, we have always offered cyber security certifications. As an official UK certification body, we knew that part of our offering was not going to change. We have added more certifications in the past couple of years but are mostly asked about Cyber Essentials and IASME Governance. Find out more about those plus other schemes, including Cyber Essentials Plus, here.

We also knew that our ‘Detection and Defence’ product suite would remain as it was. Penetration testing and vulnerability scanning are crucial aspects within any cyber security strategy. When deployed on a regular basis, they can truly help organisations to stay secure. Our expert pen testers have delivered tests for companies large and small and are always happy to dive in! Next up, we looked at Data Protection Officer as a Service. We provide this to numerous clients and are always working hard to ensure a solid delivery.

In truth, what we really wanted to develop was a cyber security package for those with little or no existing strategy / strategies in place. So, in April 2022 we launched our CRIBB CSR packages. There are 3 types of package available and each one is reflective of your starting level.

CRIBB Cyber Security Ready (CSR) packages

  • LITE from £250 per month -> offers cyber security support and is ideal for smaller companies
  • PREMIUM LITE from £500 per month -> provides larger companies with enhanced cyber security support, including a Data Protection Officer (DPO). This package also features an IT security policies & processes evaluation, a cyber security readiness assessment and an annual, external vulnerability scan
  • CRIBB CSR PREMIUM from £950 per month -> comprehensive cyber security support, ideal for companies processing large amounts of data (contact us for more information)

Towards the end of 2022, we also revisited our DPO as a Service packages. The objective here was to create something more accessible to clients not requiring a comprehensive solution. In other words, we set out to deliver a simplified version that would enable smaller companies to meet with basic levels of compliance. We worked diligently throughout the winter months and will have new updates for you in the weeks ahead.

A new look for CRIBB

Not content with a services reshuffle, we also decided it was high time for CRIBB to undergo a facelift. Our website had adopted the same look and feel of its 2016 launch and we wanted to step into the future. The feedback received to date has been overwhelmingly positive, so thank you to everyone who has commented. We’ll continue to focus on the website and the content we release, to ensure we maintain the highest standards. In the meantime, you can revisit our August 2022 article on the new look site here.

The team hit the road for International Cyber Expo 2022

At the end of September, our team were delighted to visit this and the International Security Expo at London Olympia. We were joined by CISOs, CTOs, Managing Directors, business owners and cyber security specialists to mingle and discuss security. Read our report on ICE 2022 here.

We hope you’ll agree that CRIBB in 2022 was something of a success story. Change is not easy, and we went through a fair amount of it. Do let us know what you would like to see from CRIBB in 2023, were always keen to hear from you!
