These certification schemes are backed by the government. They are crucial for any organisation seeking to work on projects or contracts based around dealing with personal information. In today’s data-driven world, this represents the vast majority of them.
Cyber Essentials involves a detailed self-assessment. This is then certified by a qualified GCHQ Assessor. Cyber Essentials Plus requires the guidance and management of an official auditor. CRIBB Cyber Security is both a qualified GCHQ Assessor and an official auditor, and we can help.
CMCA
In October 2020 we featured an article about the International Maritime Organisation’s latest requirements for on board cyber security measures. From the start of 2021, compliance with the International Safety Management Code is compulsory. There are some security frameworks that those in maritime can look to for guidance.
Unfortunately, however, these are not specific to the maritime and cruise industry; fortunately, we have developed one that is: CRIBB Maritime Cyber Assurance (CMCA).
