Cyber Security Breaches 2019-20
From late 2019 to mid-2020, the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport conducted surveys with businesses and charities. Here are some of their key findings:
- 46% of businesses had suffered either cyber-attacks or breaches in a 12-month period
- 32% of these businesses suffered from weekly incidents; this was up by 10% compared to 2018
- 26% of charities had encountered attacks or breaches
- This number was up by 7% compared to 2018
- 22% of charities reported weekly incidents
