DATA security & PROTECTION TOOLKIT
The NHS Digital Toolkit is an online self-assessment tool for organisations. The tool allows them to measure their performance against the 10 data security standards from the National Data Guardian.
Any organisation with access to NHS patient data and systems are required to use the toolkit. This is to provide assurance that they have good data security and handle personal information in the correct manner.

– All health and care organisations processing personal data must report any data breaches to the ICO via the DSPT within 72 of discovering an incident.
